Get ready to read! March 2nd is Dr. Seuss Day! This sensory play was so much fun to create. So many colors, textures, numbers, letters and ways to play and learn! My little people loved sorting items into separate colors, collecting all of the letter and number erasers and smelling the "scented" squishy pencil grippers. Paper straws added some contrast and they used these to stir and as candles on a "birthday cake". Listed below are all of the links for this amazing and engaging set up!! We also loved doing a Dr. Seuss Eye Spy! Daddy would give the clues and kiddos would find and collect! We made it a bit more challenging for Mr. 5 year old, by asking him to find a sequence of letters and numbers. This activity really helped with being observant, following directions and organizing actions! Then it was the kiddo’s turn to be the clue-giver and they loved that as well!
