What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to use items that would normally get "pitched" in the trash, for loose part play?
This took a bit of prep, but worth every minute! I gathered a lot of loose parts listed below and got-glued magnetic squares to the backs of some of them!
I then took two soup cans and stripped them and taped the sharp lids for safety. I told my kiddos they could create recycled robots! They love it! My 7 year old and 4 year old loved stuffing the cans with "trash" and giving the robots funky hair. My 2 year old loved playing with all of the textured items within the table, specifically the bubble wrap π.
We paired this table with the book "Earth Ninja" which my kiddos adore, like all of the Ninja books!
