Nature is grounding-- the sun, the air, the feel of land beneath your feet. Often times, when we are having a cranky day here, heading outside is the only reprieve from the grump!

Nature play with babies can look a bit like this:

  • Playing with dirt/mud

  • Sifting through sand

  • Scooping and palming rocks

  • Feeling textures of greenery

  • Picking weeds, grass and flowers

  • Using different containers/utensils to pour and scoop any materials

  • Collecting sticks, pinecones, etc.

  • Crawling/cruising around the outdoors

  • Listening to nature

It is never too soon to bring your baby outside for some fresh air and exploring! The benefits are phenomenal.
