Bᴀᴄᴋ Tᴏ Sᴄʜᴏᴏʟ Sᴇɴsᴏʀʏ ✏️

It is hard to believe summer is over! This year my littlest kiddos will be in preschool and will be using pencils and school supplies more and more. This sensory table was the perfect way to introduce some school materials while also working in discussions on numbers, colors, shapes, and textures.


I colored chickpeas and circle pasta with watercolor to make a

ᗪᗴᒪᎥǤᕼ丅ᖴᑌᒪ and engaging atmosphere begging for exploration! I also added jumbo pencils and pencil top erasers along with mini wooden numbers! We talked a lot about how to hold a pencil correctly, the feel of the pencil, how the eraser felt different than the wood, and how the pencil top erasers were squishy compared to the jumbo pencil erasers. They sorted the pencil top erasers by color and used the in sharpened pencils as stirrers and drum sticks. 🤪
